Welcome to my NEW Web site! For over 40 of my 62 years I’ve been involved with electronics. I’ve operated my own part-time TV & video repair business since 1988, working from home. I started my electronics career at RAF Locking No 1 Radio School in Somerset way back in 1961. I spent 3 years in the 99th entry of Aircraft Apprentices learning the ground wireless trade. Working for the RAF took me to such far flung places as Malaysia and Singapore, Cyprus, Malta and the Persian Gulf. When I left the RAF in 1974 I joined Rediffusion in Darlington as an outside tech repairing mainly black & white cable TVs (mostly board swapping). Colour TV had recently arrived so once qualified, I was let loose on these too and then a few years later on video recorders. In 1985 Rediffusion was integrated into Granada TV Rentals and I joined them for a couple of years. When voluntary redundancy was offered I decided it was an opportunity not to be missed. Since that time in 1988 I became self employed full time for a while, although I have now also got a job working as an AV tech for North Yorkshire County Council. My hobbies include gardening, do-it-yourself, photography and cycling but much of my spare time is spent in front of my computer reading emails from the Branch TV internet group and other tasksTo view photos of my house & garden etc click here To contact me email ed.branch@zen.co.uk
