CheJu Do or Island is a volcanic island to the south
of the mainland which has been likened to Hawaii. The climate is much milder
here and they grow citrus fruits as well as rice, peppers, tobacco, grapes,
melons etc. It is also known as honeymoon island as Koreans like to spend
time here after they marry. We stayed in a log cabin type of hotel (see
below)
